Fallen Angel Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc from vintage 2021 is grown in the Waihopai Valley in Marlborogh.

A classic growing season in Marlborough, dry, with bright, hot days and cool fresh night-time temperatures. The nose is classic, ripe Marlborough Sauvignon, concentrated passionfruit and guava with gentle herbaceous notes lead into a mouthful of fresh acidity and a fleshy mid-palate, with a dry finish. Perfect accompaniment to oysters, cerviché or asparagus on the deck in the sun.

Fallen Angel wines are high-quality wines that are not grown on Waiheke.
In creating this range we are recognising that other regions are more suitable for the growing and making of other varieties i.e. Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Otago Pinot Noir.
This range was originally developed for the Stonyridge Vineyard Restaurant but has become so successful the team decided to make it available to the trade and export market. To achieve the style we want, we have created joint venture relationships with some of New Zealand’s top winemakers, and work with them to produce the outstanding wines that we have designed.
The hallmarks of this range are distinctive varietal characteristics and integrity, low acidity, and extremely ripe fruit. These are wines to be loved and enjoyed and yet have the ability to stand up against some of the finest wines in their categories.
